The denim midi skirt was such a hit throughout Summer that the fashion gods have decided it’s here to stay for Autumn 2020 as well! Which suits me just fine as it happens to be one of the most flattering fashion trends I’ve seen for a while.
My favourite way to style a denim midi skirt for this transitional period would be with an oversized sweater in a similar tone to the skirt, colour blocking as such, but with contrasting textures.
Love the length, love the split on that slightly A-line shape and the perfect denim wash. Shop
If you’re feeling nostalgic, I love adding a sprinkle of the 70s trend to my midi skirts with brown knee high boots and a roll neck. Or if you’re in far sunnier climates than me pair with a white billowing peasant blouse loosely tucked in to define your waist.
My version I have from Summer. See how I’ve styled it for Autumn in my new video.
A great pencil skirt option with this on sale version at Whistles
I truly believe there’s a style of denim skirt to suit every body shape, it’s just a matter of finding the right one for you. Hopefully my 10 best versions below will give you a little inspiration.
Chic for less:) Shop
I love the bleached look paired with light blues or pinks.
Vintage vibes with this patchwork version.
I really can’t do those Dad sandals but I love the skirt!
I like the mix of textures in this one and that pencil shape is hugely flattering on most body shapes.
Beautiful circle shape yet I love how the fit is still slimline across the waist.
The pockets are a nice detail on this cost effective alternative at M&S.

As a teenager in the seventies I wore a lot of denim skirts. Feel they may make me look a bit dated now but I like the dark expensive Pinko one at £195. I’ll be on the lookout for a cheaper version. Love what you’ve done with your channel and these Instagram posts,it feels like a really stylish magazine but much more personal and real.
