Jane Birkin style, the queen of effortless chic. Although born in England she quickly became known as being one of France’s most iconic style icons. Even today you can see her inspiration walk down the latest runways.
So I thought it’d be interesting to take a closer look at her style, how she put outfits together, the pieces she was rarely seen without and share with you my style tips of how you can shop her look for less.

I’m wearing a beautiful cashmere sweater by British Designer Amanda Wakeley.
Jane Birkin just had that little special something. A quiet confidence about her style, and effortless knack to throw on a t-shirt and jeans and make it look like the most enviable outfit.
She was unusual at the time for favouring a laidback, casual style. Glamour was the norm with a heavy dose of influence from Studio 54. Whether she was aware of it or not at the time, that free spirited nature towards clothes started a lifetime love of her style for many people around the world. For many years to come! And that’s before we even get onto the subject of the Birkin bag!
I have linked all the outfit suggestion below and as always I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. It would be lovely if you could subscribe to my YouTube channel https://bit.ly/30UlDX2 and free the bell beside it to never miss a video.
Jane Birkin is definitely one of my own style icons and this was such a pleasure to really research her style. Thank you so much for watching, Jess x
